Annotations

Annotations

Audio files often contain sections that are not of wildlife sound, or sections of sound where the call is obfuscated with extraneous noise. These sections should be ignored when performing analyses. The annotation tool lets you select sections of the recording for analysis. Annotations can be used to indicate Voice Introductions, sections of extraneous noise, as well various types of wildlife calls, songs, threat displays, etc.

Analysis

For annotations of recordings indicated to be calls BioAcoustica will automatically queue the annotated section for analysis. Analyses are performed remotely using the BioVeL grid computing infrastructure.
