The calling songs of decticines remain largely undescribed. Songs of Neduba macneilli and N. sierranus were recorded and analysed. These species have mirror-image tegmina and individual specimens exhibit reversed wing overlap. Wing symmetry and the elaborate pronotum characteristic of this genus are discussed as adaptations which increase the efficiency of sound radiation.
