Ruspolia nitidula

Behaviour: 

The male song is a prolonged, continuous buzz tthat can last for 10 minutes or more. In this respect the song reembles that of M. roeselii, but it is an almost pure tone of about 13 to 20 kHz (Hathway et al. report a somehwat higher lead frequency), and is delivered almost exclusively at night (Ragge & Reynolds, 1998).
