Many  papers  on  computational  bioacoustics  refer  to  recordings  that  are  not  publicly  available.  This  practice  is  in  stark  contrast  to  other  disciplines  such  as  genetics,  where  deposition  of  sequences  in  publicly accessible databases is a prerequisite for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
