Behaviour:
The males stridulate in warm weather from in front of thre burrow entrance, often until late at night, and are audible from about 50m. The chirp sounds rather like 'tsri' and is repeated interminably in rapid succession. The males often engage in fights, accompanied by a special 'whipping' sound. In courting, the male produces special, soft sounds, audible only in the immediate vicinity. [1]
