Behaviour

Males were reported to call 0.3-4.0m up, in shrubs along the banks of small hill-streams. At Mulu, males were heard calling in the interioir of dense river-bank vegetation, close to a pool at the edge of a dried river bank, moving progressively closer over the course of an hour.Calls are a series of five or six soft 'pink' or 'quink' notes, evidently well tuned and frequency-modulated.
