Caledopsalta ouitchamboensis

Nine different records were analysed to describe the male calling song of Caledopsalta ouitchamboensis sp. nov. The male calling song (Fig. 6) is composed of phrases between 3.4 to 3.9 s in du- ration and separated by intervals of 7.6 to 11.9 s (A); each phrase is composed by echemes emitted at a rate of 80 per second (B, C, D, E). The frequency content ranges from 6500 to 21 000 Hz. The main power (i.e. the frequency range de fi ning the majority of the call) is located between 12 500 and 16 000 Hz and a maximum frequency (i.e. the highest spike in power) of around 15 000 Hz [1].
