Pholidoptera aptera
Behaviour:
The song is very loud and conspicuous, audible from about 50m. It consists of a short sequence of sharp, rapidly repeated chirps and sounds rather like 'shishishishishi'. There is often a regular alternation song between two males, in which the 'shi' sound of one of them always falls exactly in the pause between two chirps of the other. [1]
