Ligypterus linharensis Robillard, 2005

As in L. fuscus, the calling song of L. linharensis (Fig. 31a) is a short, irregular chirp beginning with 1-2 isolated syllables and accelerated at the end. The mean number of chirps per minute, syllable number, chirps duration, syllable duration and number in accelerated part are not significantly different from that of L. fuscus (Table 1). However, mean syllable period (33± 18 ms) and time separating the first 2 syllables from the rest of the chirp (132± 32 ms) are most variable within L. linharensis song and most significantly different from L. fuscus characteristics. Median fundamental frequencies of both chirp and sylla- bles equal to 5.9 kHz (Fig. 31b), which is slightly lower than in L. fuscus. [1]
