Phlesirtes kibonotensis

Behaviour: 

The calling song of the four recorded males consisted of long, uninterrupted sequences of alternating echemes and single sylables (Fig. 9). Each echeme contained 12–17 syllables (syllable repetition rate 20 Hz at 20 ◦ C). The song could not be heard with the unaided ear, its main components being in the ultrasonic range with a peak frequency at 26 kHz (details of song Hemp & Heller, in prep.). [1]
