Abstract: | Ligypterus najtae n. sp., a new species of Neotropical Eneopterinae Saussure, 1874 cricket, is described from Mounts Tumuc-Humac in French Guiana. Description focusses on general morphology, male and female genitalia, and forewing venation. Bioacoustical analyses of the calling song reveal that this species uses high-frequency signals. |
