Phlesirtes merumontanus
Behaviour:
The calling song of the three recorded males consisted of long, uninterrupted sequences of syllables (Fig. 9) (syllable repetition rate 45 Hz at 17 ◦ C, longest uninterrupted recording 5 min). The song could not be heard with the unaided ear, its main components being in the ultrasonic range with a peak frequency at 26 kHz (details of song in Hemp & Heller in preparation). [1]
